What is Restylane?
Restylane is a non-animal, natural based filler comprised of hyaluronic acid. The presence of hyaluronic acid in your skin provides fullness and volume, which is lost during the aging process Restylane helps replace that lost volume.

How long does it last?
The average range is 6 months to one year with 9 months being typical depending on the area treated.
Does it go away completely?
Yes, it is completely biodegradable therefore if you stop getting the injections the material is totally excreted without a trace.
Is there any pre-treatment required?
No. We do ask that you avoid or minimize the use of products containing aspirin, Ibuprofen, St. John’s Wort or high doses of Vitamin E for 1 week prior to treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and/or bleeding at the injection site. However your individual parameters can be set at the time of consult.
Is there any post treatment required?
You will be instructed at the time of discharge related to your specific injection site, however in general we ask that you don’t manipulate the site for 4 hours, don’t engage in aerobic exercise for 24 hours, and apply ice or cool compresses for localized swelling as needed.
Does it hurt?
There is minimal discomfort, but a topical or local anesthetic is available if needed.
What is Botox?
A natural purified protein produced by Clostridium botulinum bacterium.
Is it safe?
Yes. It is purified so that the toxin is removed from the germ. The Botox is also injected in such small amounts there is no risk of disease in people.
How does it work?
It is injected into or near a muscle to temporarily weaken the targeted muscle, which in turn prevents or decreases the movement that causes the wrinkle. It is the repeated movement of muscles that cause wrinkles so by preventing the movement you get a reduction or softening of the wrinkles.

Is there any pretreatment?
We ask that you refrain from plucking, waxing, electrolysis, using depilatories or bleaching agents in the desired treatment areas for 6 weeks prior to laser hair removal so as not to diminish the target. For treatment areas do not tan for 4 weeks prior or use a self-tanning product for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
What post treatment is necessary?
You will need to wear sunscreen during the course of your treatments for 6 weeks after completing your treatments.
